VIA 6793, paired with 6782, is looking good in fresh paint as she rolls to a station stop at Brantford on March 8, 1987. The late afternoon #75 was back then quite the long train.

  1. Too bad VIA trains don’t look that good nowadays!

  2. Fantastic! I saw 75 this week with a P42 leading an F40 and 6 cars…this tops that train anyday!

  3. Yeah, I guess the 1980s was my “Golden Era” out there trackside. Might be hard to believe, but a lone switcher trundling the streets of Brantford every Wednesday will be part of yours.:o)

  4. The funny thing I just noticed is that the “23″ milepost sign looks like its ready to fall off the wall of the station back in 1987, and it’s still in the very same state today! I love this shot!

  5. Rob, it has only been 28 years. The screws need to rust a little more. Have patience. Glad you like the image. Sure miss those days.

  6. Back when passenger train meant passenger train. All that’s left are Nos 1 and 2

  7. Now, now, Dave. Don’t get me depressed…..

  8. e will always have Europe!!!!

  9. Such a great looking engine!
