CN U711 is lead by Powerline Road West outside of Brantford by a solo BNSF SD70Mac, I hadn't seen much FPON of late so this was pretty good in my books.

  1. I was just south of Kitchener trying to get this when I heard from you on the FPON notification that it passed Paris at 11:26! So I abandoned the mission before I got too far as it was too late. I had no interest nor money or time to drive to London for it lol. Oh how I wish I got the message that it was on the Halton Sub or something! You win some you lose some. The BN cream and greens are worth it. Nice catch!

  2. Why, or why BNSF was removing the beautiful big B necessary? Still, that’s the quite the catch! FPON leaders have seem to have been extremely hard to come by lately, especially on CN. Btw, have you ever checked out Powerline Road in Paris? I used to go there when I was younger, and loved the location. There’s advance signals there for Hardy and Paris Jct. Interesting to see westbound freights struggling upgrade there.

  3. Well, BNSF has their corporate image/logo and the large BN logo on the nose had to go.

I have been to that Powerline Road crossing, it isn’t a bad shot…parking is a little tough there though. We were debating it yesterday for a second shot of the train but didn’t think there would be enough time…so we ended up settling for another shot at Paris.
