Greetings exchanged between engineer and one of the local maintenance guys as CP 5663 West (I always refer to them as "North" thru here)slows up as flimies are about to be handed up as the caboose passes. Power on this train is CP 5663, 5908 and 5974. One of the things I loved about hanging out at the station was the freedom to cross the tracks at will. And for morning northbounds, this was the very best place for sun angle as the northbounds came off the trestle turning abruptly eastward for a half mile before the tracks turned north again.

  1. Back then Arnold…in 1986….I remember the “look” on your face when, in those days, CP trains would show with “just” plain SD40′s ..It was pretty well the same look you gave me when I would show up …”Gadddssss…” :)

  2. You mean “auurrrrrrggghhhh”, don’t you? :o )

  3. timetable northbound

  4. And now it belongs to the ages… so much has changed in the 29 years that have followed.
