This unit, CFMG 102, was seen one day with a CN switcher in Hamilton yard.  I had no idea what it was, so wandered in for a photo or two. I don't expect any excitement over this image, but rather am appealing to those in the know out there to tell me something about this unit. Mainly, whose was it?? The CFMG as we know it, the "Chemin de fer de la Matapedia et du Golfe" according to the CTG did not come into existence until 1998, but this photo predates that event by 18 years. There must have been more of these on some roster somewhere.

  2. CFMG 102 – GMD SW8 new for Canada & Gulf Terminal/ Chemin du fer Matane Gulf #356 renumbered to 102; sold to DOFASCO Nov/1980 re# 27 later 427, now a slug for them
