In response to Bill Thomson's recent (1) photos (2) from Sarnia I respectfully submit this scene - of the Paul. M. Tellier tunnel from last weekend - a name known to railroaders.. and us... but not to many locals as this sign was only added in the last few years. For those new to Sarnia there is a nice pedestrian bridge you can access to photograph the tunnel from Tecumseh St (and NOT from Vidal St!) away from all the road traffic. The only annoying thing added in recent years... the cameras, and the constant whine of fake bird noises to scare animals and birds from entering either tunnel and setting off alarms. (The poor residential houses on Tecumseh St - I don't know how they put up with the noise, it's out of this world and not 'normal' bird noises obviously to scare animals!). I'd love to submit this to the Time Machine but I didn't quite frame it right - my shot is compressed due to telephoto and cropping and Bills seems to be more wide, perhaps on the 50mm side so it does not line up quite right for me. I'll do this again and get it right next time :)

  1. Nice stuff, Mr. Steve.

  2. Thanks, all I did was click. In fact I did compose the entire scene with the imperial oil office building and refinery, but I cropped for the web.
