We would see a similar configuration of power on the westbound "Canadian" later in the day. We had not seen it on the day before, nor would we see it the next day. On this day, the two "Canadians" would have a CP unit assisting. The trains were more or less on schedule, therefore, it would be safe to assume that this was planned.
Anyhow, this is the classic view of Morant's Curve, and unlike the postcard view, we got the much more common weathered in view.

  1. Very nice, Steve.

  2. You may have gotten the “common weathered in view” but you certainly captured a very interesting and colourful front end! A beautiful shot Sir! Less than a year earlier I passed this spot on the westbound, with an engagement ring in my pocket, waiting to propose to my girlfriend!

  3. This is awesome Steve :)
