A few years ago we were seeing quite the number of ethanol trains running over the Hamilton Sub en route to the USA. Since the returning empties were not a priority train, parking them out of the way became a bit of a problem around Kinnear, so the solution was to leave them out of harm's way down by the Hamilton Cemetery curve just before the High Level bridge, out by Cootes Paradise. I think back with amusement about how so many of us would hear the clearance northward from Kinnear and then stake out a location to catch the train from Hambone to Guelph Jct, only to have it not show up........but rather 'hide' in the confines of the lower level area of the Cemetery. Maybe it wasn't THAT funny.....I was fooled a couple of times myself. Power on this 'hidden' train was CP 6050, ICE 6453, DME (CP paint) 6078 and DME 6360.

  1. This must be in a sector of The Hammer where only taggers and Mooney dares to tread.

  2. No, not really. There are quite the number of expired people there too.
