This empty coal train is crossing the Eagle River at Malakwa behind CP nos.8788&5003. The SD30ECO units were used on CP coal trains from mid 2014 for about a year until mechanical problems caused their demise. At the present time ES44ACs and AC4400s are used consistently as prime power units.

    I like the SD30 as part of the lineup. I just love the little bridge. That thing must have some real age to it. Most short bridges are usually done without any overhead structure.

    SD30′s couldn’t handle the workload…as many predicted? Pity, as they look great.

    Pity the bridge is not dated overhead as a lot of the American ones are.

    There are a lot of these truss style bridges on the Shuswap sub between Sicamous and Revelstoke.
