I'm going back just over 22 years to find some snow! CPR SD40-2 5799 leads a pair of Helm Leasing units through the frozen swamp west of Puslinch. The second unit is a former VMV demonstrator, the third is obviously former Union Pacific.

  1. with 142/143 back on the galt sub… its single stacked again! kind of back to the future .

  2. Most interesting second unit, Glenn. I do not recall seeing that one. Despite those being great days, this is still an exceptional shot.

  3. That’s good snow. The leaser era was kind of neat – and it kept going into the mid 2000′s..

Now , other than CEFX (which are really lease to own style) there really isn’t much of anyhting from lease fleets except a few HPH’s.

  4. HPHs?
