On a trip to Newfoundland on the search for 42 inch gauge equipment for the Pinafore Park Railway we stopped at the Mine at Buchans NFL where we found Whitcomb #4 busy sorting Ore cars on a cool day September 1977. I believe this was very near the end of this interesting operation and all that remains are memories and Photos
We did purchase a GE 25 Tonner and Flatcar from the Bowaters Papermill in Cornerbrook which operated on the Pinafore Park Railway with the 25 Tonner now operating in Huntsville

  1. Fantastic photo!!!!

  2. Dang Larry – wish you guys had grabbed this one instead! ;)

  3. This is nice. I have seen shots of the locomotives but this may be the first shot I have seen of a train.

  4. I did not know about this operation. I’ve added it to the list of railways – since it was a substantial operation with significant mileage.
