Caption: This is VIA in its' second year, and the condition of so much of the equipment back then makes me marvel how the new system got off the ground as it was. But then, a lot of us had cars in matching condition and we made it:o). Here,the morning VIA 6524 is about to duck under Inksetter Rd bridge on its way to Toronto. What is really striking is the lack of vegetation in this scene. Not only can one see the stop sign out at Governors Rd (Hwy 99), the sign way over at the intersection at Hwy 52 can also be picked out. Now, the area looks more like a forest. Those problems with the "underground River" at this location are very obvious.Some rather elaborate system set up here, but the water is ever-present. Until the most recent innovative 'controls' put in at this location in the past few years, water could be seen bubbling up from underground near the RoW access even in the coldest of winter days.
