IC 2460 leads CN 148 approaching the station in Brantford. I believe this is the only ex. LMS C40-8W with the CN "noodle" on the nose. Rumour is that the tracks in the foreground will soon be rebuilt as additional yard tracks. We're not sure why, but perhaps it'll be a support yard for the new mill / cookie factory under construction just east of CN "Masseys".

  1. A rare lettering feature of IC 2460 is http://www.cn.ca under the CN noodle on the hood. Routine with the current CN red/white/black scheme, but not with other colours.
I saw this train just past Aldershot East at 1:39PM, too late for sunlight on the nose.

  2. Oh yes, great shot. If it was running early, then you must have been on your coffee break? Seriously, mucho classic shot of rather a rather elusive leader.

  3. Time of photo 12:54. Just got it in on the lunch break.
