CN train 474 begins its journey south from Capreol on a pleasant March 1969 afternoon (perhaps 50 years ago today). Power for the train consists of GP9s 4104 and 4570 and RS-18 3113. Note the conductor standing beside the train waiting for it to pass so that he may board the caboose. Railroading as it was meant to be!

  1. Great photo Sir! I love the green and gold paint on the 4104. The NF110 and NF210 units were very similar except they were narrow gauge, had much deeper skirts and the cab was fully at the rear. When I first became interested in trains, that is the colour that most still wore.
