These days any word of six axle EMD's leading on the Galt subdivision is good reason to head trackside. Reportedly their was a wide cab SD60 in the mix earlier but I'm not complaining about having a pair of often hard to catch ECO SD30's up front with a GP38. After lifting Honda traffic at Spence on the Mactier subdivision, and working West Toronto CP 235 finally makes its way through Streetsville as it heads westward. Big thanks Curtis for the heads up :)

  1. Great photo of 2 SD30′s. CP has 50 of them but you would think that number was much smaller. Rarely seen in the Edmonton area. They don’t seem to be a photo favourite either. I kind of like the SD45 style rads.

  2. Awesome photo buddy Glad to see ya :)

  3. Definitely a nice one by todays standards, were you guys standing on that manhole cover that so many pictures have been made from?

  4. No Matt, but yes it’s still there
    LOL
Looks like they are finally going to activate the new signals in town after installing the five years ago too :)

  5. In Alberta, I’ve seen one in Calgary and one working on one of the wayfreights operating out of Lacombe.

  6. Nice catch Marcus.
