On a hot late summer afternoon, CP train 255 works the Canwell Building Materials facility off Dumfries Road with 8801 and 8912. This was the first time I had ever seen six-axle units on this customer's spur.

  1. Were these units assigned to a local or a through freight? Very nice.

  2. BradKetchen….Thanks!
Yes, technically trains 254 and 255 are mainline trains. Basically just junk trains, however this was the first time I’ve seen it actually switch an on-line customer. This might have become a regular practice over time as I do not get out to railfan the Galt Subdivision as much as I once did. Others might have seen these trains work industries etc. They had lifted the cars in Galt yard on their way west prior to working the Canwell Building Materials facility.
