It's the end of the shift and 555's power now sit's on the backlead at Hamilton Yard waiting for the 0600 Yard assignment to take over as another set of power idles away in the oil siding.

  1. Nice shot Micheal, I see these same units every day at work however its interesting so them in their resting state.

  2. Excellent Mike!

  3. Heard that CN is starting a rebuilding program for there GP9 models this year… I think they are going to be turned into GP20-Eco’s or something like that…

Does anyone know when it will start?

    Great catch!

  4. Dan this sounds like a rumour.

Nothing has reputably hit the wire on that to date

But I would shoot a gp9 every chance I get at this stage of the game

  5. Stephen, I understand, I read that off a Facebook group (Don’t know how reliable that is hence why I said that I “heard” about the news) but there is quite a buzz around it. And it sort of makes sense too. We’ll see what happens next, but I suppose nothing is everlasting… In the meantime I try to catch them as much as I can. ;)

  6. So far nothing about gp9′s being rebuilt. Don’t believe what you hear on facebook or CRO, it’s all rumour and not journalism.
