This is a rare occasion and I have to thank a fellow rail fan for informing me of this meet. The Waterdown spur is very seldom used anymore so having a train in it is quite rare. To top it off, we have the CWR train with SD40-2, CP 5871, idling away in the siding waiting for two CP trains to come southbound so they can continue to lay rails. This is the meet with CP 246, led by CP 9739 as it made its way towards Hamilton for work at Kinnear. CP 254 would follow it down in about forty-five minutes.

  1. Glad i can help :)

  2. I was wondering how those two trains got through when the CWR train was around. Now I know :) I wasn’t able to get out for this train until later in the afternoon so I missed that action . Glad you could document it.
