Mount Stewart Jct station in the village of the same name was the junction for all trains running to the east side of Prince Edward Island. Track to the left in the photo lead to Souris/Elmira; and to the right, the line extended to Montague/Georgetown. This PEIR station opened on the 23rd of November, 1911. I do not have a demolition date, but the structure is gone. The last train thru here was also the last one to leave the Island when the CN pulled out in 1989. At one time, this was a busy place; besides the junction there was a wye as well. The right of way is now part of Confederation Trail.
