Not a bad morning, Getting two CP eastbounds in 30 minutes in near perfect sun is always good! CP 234 was about as blah as one could get, then I heard a clearance for 8113 east to Guelph Junction. Rumbling up the grade it comes with two BNSF pumpkins in tow. CP 8113 with BNSF 3905 and BNSF 3952 are making good time as they pass the Puslinch mile board on their was for a stop at Hornby.

  1. Opportunistic this morning, were we? Seldom photographed Puslinch namesign is a big plus.

  2. Great catch….didn’t know it was still out there

  3. Lucky Mr. Mooney. I knew the one was coming but scanner reception in that area was exceptional and I heard the clearance for this guy.
    Thanks.

  4. They made extremely good time on the NS last night. I think it only took them 5 or 6 hours from Elkhart to Windsor. Normally they can take up to 12. Nice shot!

  5. Beautiful catch man glad you got it

  6. Beautiful shot! Do you know, why theres a high green in the background guarding the Puslinch siding though?

  7. @Isaac Bryson These are ABS (Automatic Block Signal) signals. The signals automatically show what the condition of the block ahead is. Because this train cleared the block that signal is governing it shows a clear. The signal will stay on until the train leaves the block they’re currently in.

  8. Interesting. I have a rough idea on how block signals work, I’ve just never seen one change back to clear to quickly. Thanks for the explanation!
