A trio of fresh SD70ACU's (CP 7054, CP 7045 & CP 7055) lead a 140-car CP 253 over the St. Lawrence River. They had been delayed a bit south of here when a hotbox detector on CP's Lacolle Sub warned them of a problem.

  1. Is there anything near the numbers of the 7045, or is it just me?

  2. It’s not just you, it says ‘horn cut out’.

  3. I must say, I’m liking even the regular red ACUs. Nice catch.

  4. And as always Michael, love the “water shot”. Very nice colouring, and must admit a fondness for the “new” CP SD70ACU’s. There is something very striking about this trio, even if not in heritage paint scheme. Were you aware Ken Goslett was waiting 5 minutes up the line at LaSalle Yard waiting to photograph the same train ? Thanks for posting. John

  5. Thanks. Yes, I had given Ken the headsup that this train was coming with this power.
