While puttering around at the Chessie facility I just happened to look back over behind me and there was B&O 3835 and a couple of vans in tow; a local working back to the yard. The scene show the train crossing Elm St near Wilson, entering the yard property. Like many of the photographers, I really miss this place.

    And the (soon to be?) Dispatchers office in the background. IMHO it’s still standing.. and likely still railway owned..

    Now that little piece of information I find very interesting. These GMTX are everywhere from here to VTR to A&O and quite frankly I am tired of seeing them. I often wondered what they were “before” and how each and every one of them ended up with a magnificent paint job, remaining clean, when so many of the CPs of the past ended up looking like (bl-e-e-e-e-ep) !!!
