CP SW1200RSu 1268 looks relatively small in comparison to HATX SD45R 919 as they await their next assignments at CP’s Toronto Yard diesel facility. The HATX unit was former SP SD45 9131, built in January 1970 while CP 1268 was built as SW1200RS 8146 during May 1959, eventually seeing a rebuild in 1985. The photo was taken during the time period of the great CP lease fleet era of the mid-1990's when the railway was leasing hundreds of units from various companies.

  1. Classic rent-a-wrecks! An MP SD40-2 in behind, and of course the MILW SD40-2 also. Good times!

  2. @rsmith- Yes those were great times! My notes from then are pretty crazy too with everything that was leased and all the MLW’s still around.
