Just posting this for those of you who miss the caboose at the end of the train. It is sad these days how a train rolls by and just doesn't look "complete" without the old buggy at the end.
Parked here in Welland is PC 23046 with CR 7434. The caboose reads: "Canada Division". Also built, 4-42. I love this distinctive colour.

  1. I hear ya. :-)

  2. Nice!

  3. Funky looking caboose!

  4. Is this the same yard that CP uses now?
I’m sorry I missed the end of Conrail in Canada.

  5. Yes. See ‘sdfourty’s previous image. My shot was taken in the same yard. Funny thing, when I sent this shot to the queue, I was totally unaware of his nice CR and office shot already in the queue. Just one of those things. :o )

  6. wow, neat, just like my Lionel! (or is it the other way?); And while we do miss the Conrail blue too – what we really miss all those pre Conrail roads! Mr AWM: great minds do think alike!

  7. Well, I dunno about “great minds” as mine often fails to function some mornings.:o) But it is true, the pre-Conrail stuff is so distant for us now, it is like we were in a fantasy land looking back from today’s reality.
