I've always liked colourful lashups. This is a good example. The train has arrived at Quebec St CP yard, and will soon be switching out some cars on the near (south) side before it heads west. Combinations like this brighten up an otherwise dull boring February day; CP 5553, B&) 3715 and CR 7777 (gotta love that number). I was on my way to St. Thomas and Port Stanley to see what was what, and unexpectedly this stop at London turned out to be the highlite of the day.

    I see that leader should be 5533, not 5553.

    The CPR line through London always had some interesting power power on it. Over the years I saw many “CHESSIE SYSTEM” units pass through the city but this is a great shot taken from an interesting location. The picture Shows some military buildings in the background and they were located in the south east corner of “Wolseley Barracks”.
