The loads are lifted, coupled back on and it is so long Gibbons as the snow flakes fly. The crews likely last stop now will be Calder yard. This unusual elephant style happened quite frequently with so many of the ex-NAR GMD-1's and GP-9's working the Coronado Sub.

  1. I keep thinking about how I would have loved to shot trains like this. But one can’t be everywhere. This is a really ‘neat’ shot; or as they say these days “cool”.

  2. I’m a little saddened by the talk lately that the GMD-1′s could be on the way out again. I do have good hopes that many of them will find homes elsewhere. :-)
    Thanks Arnold.
Oh, and for those that look for details, the 1081 still has its truck mounted sandboxes next to the fuel tank. CN removed most of theirs for clearance I believe.
