This was certainly a place I could never get sick of back in the day. Before the big golf course was built here, this location was surrounded by rolling farmland. The ten minute hike up the hill was always worth it and a lot of friendships were built around mile 30. I always loved the Draper years on CN and this day presented me with one of my favourite shots from this location. Trains 334/335 were always interesting and often had NS power out of Buffalo on it. Unfortunately the Niagara region traffic gradually dried up as it was rerouted, much of it was relocated to and from Montreal instead of Toronto. This day three cowls in the form of a SD50 and 2 Dash-8's are in charge of train 335 as it rolls through the dormant landscape at mile 30.

  1. What a gorgeous scene. Great shot. I’d forgotten about how it looked before the course went in.

  2. Unfortunately the golf course bridge took a bit away from the shot but at least the course didn’t wreck the greenery.

  3. Good times indeed.

  4. Lots of memories Matt! Especially getting that Murphy guy up the hill, LoL
