Back in mid-90's, there was only one yard in Guelph that CP had utilized regularly and that was at Stevenson Street. Here, GP9u 1614 powers the final CP train to operate to Guelph on the Goderich Subdivision as it lifts cars in the small "lower yard." As the clock would strike 1998 the following day, operations on the Guelph Junction Railway (GJR), would be taken over by the Ontario Southland Railway (OSR), which 0perated this trackage for the following two decades.

  1. Glad you were there. How many others were out for the last run? curious.

  2. Just me and two others from Kitchener, including the other Jason. All shooting slides. I believe someone on the train crew had a friend doing some photos as well.

  3. Unreal. There must have been 30 during the day on the last OSR runs.

  4. Also looks like 1614 might have been one of the units getting ZTR work done in 2010.. at OSR Salford

  5. That’s neat. The paint still looked great on it!
