With headlights casting a beam in the light falling snow, and everything covered in white, we have the perfect conditions for a Santa Train in mid November. WCR's S-13 1001 is blasting through the fields of Woolwich Township heading to the "North Pole" to pick up Santa where the kids and adults of all ages enjoy the ride. Folks, plenty of time to get your tickets and bring your young ones, if my kids were 3 years younger we'd be all over this, but we've aged out already :) Tell your friends, the volunteers at the WCR have put on an amazing display sure to delight any children or grandchildren 'Santa' age. For tickets see their website, waterloocentralrailway.com. Plenty of tickets available, especially the Sunday runs. The night runs are VERY special because they have lit up displays all along the line - again, for those with young kids/grandkids don't miss this.

  1. Great work on your photo and to the WCR! If only I was around to take it all in…

  2. Photo notes: handheld, 1/3 to 1/6 second, aperture priority (should have shot in Manual but didn’t have time to switch) with VR to assist with keeping it steady thus sharp. I’m lucky anything turned out at all.
