    Can’t pass up a nice image of a cab unit on VIA. We did not realize how good we had it back then. :o )

    The perfect Diesel locomotive in Canadian service. Just the wrong color scheme.

    Another good Farkas photo at an iconic spot, this one with a clean nosed 6786 and looking very powerful indeed. Must have been a warm day what with the front end door open a bit in an attempt to keep the engine cab a bit cooler. It is interesting that the same scene exists today but with more foreground line side vegetation and more Gardiner traffic. Well, done, John

    Classic locomotive, 3 or 4 tracks still classic jointed rail. Railroading’s best of times.
