When you are hunting endangered species, it makes sense that you have to go on a bit of a safari, however even the west end of CN’s Hamilton yard is a stretch as the majority of it has been re-claimed by Mother Nature. Thankfully due to some lucking timing and ridiculous persistence, it allows for this view of the 0:800 Yard Job seen returning to the yard office with CN GMD-1 1439 and GP38-2(W) 4770. This would be the last CN GMD-1 to ever actively work Stuart Street Yard in Hamilton before the entire roster was retired from CN during 2021.

  1. Perfect backdrop too with the grain hoppers. What is more natural than grain cars and GMD-1′s. :-)

  2. I spy a case of water

  3. LOL. You’d have loved the TH&B Jamie, a cooler on the front porch of every train… on the locals

which… the Union Railroad still has… daily.. down in Pittsburgh

  4. Thanks for all the comments guys.
