Westbound grain empties pass a farmyard in the Assiniboine River bottomlands on CP's North main. On both sides of the Assiniboine lies 1.8% grades both ways. Also 1.5 % grades each way between Birtle and Solsgith and 2% each way out of the terminal of Minnedosa gave this line the name "Manitoba's mountain railway.

    Nicely framed shot. Are you sure the year is correct? Maybe 2013? I’m pretty sure the CP 8700-8800 series started coming out in 2005-2006.
