Well, it's happened again - after the first Siemens Venture car came into Canada in 2019 for testing in great light (I was standing beside Rob for this) this time an Amtrak midwest coach (SIXX 4301) has come into Canada for testing at National Research Council Canada's Ottawa rail testing facility.
With the sun trying to peek out of the clouds behind the 1905 Grand Trunk of Canada built station, CN 276 rolls by with their hefty cargo behind a Mexico built UP SD70ACe. Too bad it wasn't a Canadian built unit. Oh well :)

  1. Steve,

If the sun was out, you may not have such an evenly lighted picture.

  2. 100% agreed. I tried this in two spots and it sure was challenging as the sun kept trying to come out.

This one worked, my other attempt… not quite so..

  3. I’m glad we went here for it, worked out great.

  4. Great location to place the shot. Will more of these be coming or are these sporadic movements? I’m starting to be getting out of the loop these days.

  5. Sporadic… last one was 2019
