If I recall correctly, the ID of this train was CP A43. It was pictured approaching Braid with a cut of cars. After its passing, I heard later on over the radio that it had some trouble crossing the lift bridge over the Fraser River; couldn't make the grade or something. It then had to back up and make a few attempts. Either way, the GVA and BC needs more exploring by me. Lots of action and many neat locations. This location is easily accessible by public transit via the Skytrain and is a very busy spot which includes CN, CP, BNSF, VIA and Amtrak trains!

  1. Correction. It is a swing bridge over the Fraser River, not a lift bridge.
