CP 8046 eases into Trenton for a meet with a westbound. The sun has just risen allowing some nice light on the train and the hills but is not quite warm enough for the mist on the Trent River to burn off.

  1. That is very nice.

  2. Very nice

  3. Perfect low sunrise light, fog, and fall colours? Perfectly executed and beautiful. Well done. Toss this toward the CPR Calendar contest.. you’d have a great shot of getting it in.

  4. Very nice image

  5. wow

  6. I keep going back for another look at this image. To me, it is classic. I can only imagine how difficult it is to pull off a shot like this. I tried it many times while in the US on the D&H, and never was near as successful.
    Kudos !!!

  7. The framing of the smokestacks and the smoke also helps. Honestly, this is art.

  8. You had better believe this is art. As I said, “Its a classic”. Deserves special attention from those who enjoy photography beyond the norm.

  9. Thanks for the kind words everyone! It really came down to luck more than anything else.
