A short train returning to Edmonton at 10:30 on a clear Saturday morning. The empty sailboat in the middle of the train will have had farm machinery as a load. That was the 9173 trailing. This photo taken with Ektachrome 200asa film, an infrequent stray away from Kodachrome.

  1. Now that certainly is an impressive catch!! Makes me wonder why you have been “hiding” it for so long. :o )

  2. Thanks for your generous comment Arnold. :-)
The reason why? It has taken some time to find the formula, which, using various editing programs, brings out the best from scans of photographic film. I now have the confidence to put that knowledge to good use and let some of these wild mustangs free of the corral. Not trying to say I’m a pro, just way better at it than I used to be. Many of my early edits are a little embarrassing.

  3. You have certainly highlighted your editing skills again with this posting. Great photo.
