Caption: I guess we could say this was shot on the Welland-Port Colborne boundary line as the region goes.
I was on my way home from Niagara Falls but decided to go via the back roads because the construction delays on the QEW annoy me so much. So I ended up close enough to Welland Yard that, hey, I should check it out. I was quite surprised to see this Intermodal sitting here; and had to find a good location and wait for it to be on the move.
I scooted over to mile 14 and in less than 10 minutes along it came. The power up front is CP 9377, KCS 4514, CP 9752, CSX 3037, KCS 4574, 4047 and 4184. And axle count I believe was 408. I'm east of the Welland Canal by a couple of miles.

Nice catch! Great plethora of power from different road companies too. Nice to see more than standard one or two engines leading a consist. Reminds me of my childhood….????
That’s a lot of motive power. Was any of it lifted in Welland?
I have no idea. Train was sitting ready to depart when I got there. Hopefully someone will know.
All these units were spotted in Hamilton on the train earlier in the day
Hopefully someone got shots. Light would have been good but this train is usually through hamilton in darkness.
Someone got a video of it and that’s all I’ve seen, Hamilton wise.
That’s quite the jackpot!
