BCOL 707 is an M-630, built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1970 as Pacific Great Eastern 707. After retirement in 1990, it became National Railways of Mexico (FNM) 707 then Ferromex 707. BCOL 763 is an SD40-2 built by General Motors Division in 1985, retired in 2009 and current whereabouts unknown.

  2. Nice capture! That caboose isn’t one of the Illinois Central Caboose. The Illinois Central caboose were only green.

  3. The source for that comment was the notation in the 1999 issue of Canadian Trackside Guide of cabooses 1800 to 1805 being utilized in work train service. Since a work train is pictured, I surmised that this was a former IC caboose. Perhaps I am mistaken.
