During a scorching August afternoon, a lengthy string of motive power is observed at CP’s Aberdeen Yard in Hamilton, Ontario. The units included; CP C-424 4226, SD40-2 786, Conrail SD40 0809, GP9u 8248 and C-424 4216. SD40 0809 was part of a group of unit’s leased through Conrail at the time to assist CP through their motive power shortage. Other blue SD40’s were leased through Conrail Leasing as well.

  2. Thanks Marcus. I looked it up after reading your comment as I was curious too. It was made into the control cab not long after the photo in December 1995.
