Caption: Delaware & Hudson PA1 19 leads seven passenger cars on Amtrak's "Adirondack" passenger train after its departure from Windsor Station in Montreal. It's seen crossing the St. Lawrence River on CP's Adirondack Sub coming off the double track bridge over the river itself, and about to cross the double lift bridge over the shipping canal into Kahnawake, Quebec, enroute to Albany NY in the US.
This photo was taken a year after the Adirondack began operating, initially using D&H equipment. Amtrak equipment would later replace the D&H's aging PA's and passenger cars in March 1977. D&H's four PA's (16-19) would then be briefly leased out for Boston commuter service, and later sold to FNM in Mexico.

If anyone searches it up, there’s an episode of the 1960’s Canadian TV show “Seaway” filmed on and around this bridge (“The Only Good Indian”), with an early appearance of Len Birman of Silver Streak fame.
Those PA’s and that original blue & yellow livery – fantastic !
More PA’s, in Amtrak service:

For an old D&H fan like me, this is fantastic.
I’ll see if I can dig up one or two more Arnold. Do you like EL units too?
If it is the former EL 801, 802, and 803 that worked on the D&H for a bit; heck yes!
) Thanks !
