Typical blah winters-type day; grey terrain and grey skies and I am down at Jordan Rd crossing to see a local heading back to Niagara Falls (I presume) with an odd assortment of cars. I think this train had been working down at Winona, where the small yard there had a collection of rolling stock similar to what is on this train. CN GP9s are the power; 4595 and 4598. On the right is the old Vineland Growers Co-op building; current day this 100 year old business has a new sprawling building complex close by.

  1. Nice, you have captured lots of the past with this image. Black and white wooden gate arm, red fleet and white fleet boarding cars. The power and the van are a nice touch too. Lots of power that day.

  2. Thank You, Mr. T.O’S. And here I was more fascinated at first by the Vineland Growers building. I think that is the location of a limo retail place now.

  3. Somewhere along the way, 4595 lost its dynamic brake blister.
