A glorious spring day at Dundas, a young mother and children have just climbed the hill by way of the Grindstone Creek viaduct and are waiting for this westbound CN passenger to pass. Power is 6534, 6623 and 4103. Despite it being only noonish, it is a very warm day. Direct center top is Dundas Peak where some great views of CN action can be noted.

    It seems a large number of cars for a mid day passenger train. Clearly more people rode the train back in ’77. They made more stops too if they stopped at Dundas. When did St. Pierre Trudeau offer the first of many rounds of cuts to VIA?

    “St” Pierre indeed. HAH!!
    I remember #75 being a huge train compared to the piddler it is now.
    So I am thinking this is CN Rapido train #75,(The Erie) which would put it thru Dundas area around 1645. It did not stop at Dundas.
