To those of us who wander thru the remnants at Fort Erie CN yard in search of what used to be, this scene is a bit hard to swallow. Look at all the trackage!!! In this view, D&H 417 and B&M 208 are seen bringing over the daily transfer from Buffalo. One can see the old CN Crew Hostel in the background at right, as well as a couple of stubs behind what used to be a station site; on this track there sometimes were freight cars marked "BOEING" which were left for an aeroplane parts company located up the street. Photo from the Central Avenue bridge now not doable on account numerous thick hydro lines marring the view.

    It gets worse. Less than an hour later a pair of yellow Chessies came over and I took an identical shot; then after that 3 blue Conrails……….so 3 transfers in 2 hours.
    I never did figure out what a days “business” amounted to around there…………
