![A double-headed excursion behind CPR G5c Pacific 1271 and H1c Royal Hudson 2839 is seen departing Hamilton taking the connecting track at Hamilton Junction onto the CNR Oakville Subdivision headed for Toronto. The annual NRHS Buffalo Convention was held in Toronto at the end of August 1958 featuring a two-day set of excursions, one over the CPR and one over the CNR the following day. ![Again I was chasing post office buildings, and if I am correct I was looking after a contract that required replacing parts of the lobby floor. The Penticton yard on that day had a few cars & locomotives just sitting there quietly. I never saw any activity or CP employees while I was on site so I just walked around and took photographs. Would have loved to enter the roundhouse, but couldn't find anyone to ask. ![There was a time when GO Transit had quite a variety of locomotives leading its trains. Like many commuter agencies it expanded its network in fits and starts and its motive power followed suit. GO 904 was one of GO's APCU fleet (Auxiliary Power Control Unit), F units that no longer powered the train but provided power to the cars and a cab when the train was in push mode.
I likely would not attempt a shot from this location today. This is train #982 deadheading back to Willowbrock for the night after an afternoon rush hour trip to the old CN station in Hamilton, just getting out of town ahead of the shadows.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/GO-904-982-Bayview-ON-June-13-1989-200x150.jpg)

![After departing Tillsonburg, the second last OSR train on the Cayuga is westbound heading toward Aylmer passing James. S. Howie and Sons farm. It was a real treat that the last two (OSR) trains on the Cayuga were F units, given the Wabash plied this line with F units for 30 years. This railway's future is still uncertain as it has not yet been ripped up by CN. While the weather was gloomy for both last runs with F units, this angle was only possible on a cloudy day.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/OSR_CAYUGA_STRSCH_4825-200x150.jpg)
