Back in the day, the Great Northern ran several trains each way between Vancouver, BC and Seattle. Here, GN 1457 heads south after crossing the Fraser River Bridge. As they say, those were the days. Thanks to the late Roy Jennings for capturing the once common event.

  1. What’s the approximate date/year of this one?

  2. Kudos to those great photographers of the past. They captured an era never to be repeated using camera equipment that would make todays train nuts shake their heads in dismay.
