Now historic - this scene has been obliterated in the last year. I believe all of these units in the photo have been saved - 1201 - where did this end up? GEXR 3856 was sent to sister railroad OVR, 4057 is still on the SOR. The former freight shed at left, the shops behind the power, and all this track was basically torn up in favour of new alignments for the James St. North GO station project.

Anyone with updates on location of some of this power - please add to comments. It was around this time SOR/RA was busy scrapping everything they could get their hands on , thanks to new owners Fortress Investment Group, scumbucket hedge fund that squeezes blood from rocks. More on this later..

What unit did not survive? look closely and you'll see what appears to be a blue slug. It's RLK 4205 - cut down to nearly the frame and in process of being scrapped. This engine survived at best in parts only.

  1. Pretty sure that 1201 went to VIP in Sarnia as their VIPX 1201.

  2. GEXR 3856 I believe is now RLK 2057, on the OVR….correct me if I’m wrong with that number anyone.

  3. I believe the blue ‘slug’ like thing in front of the shops is RLK 4205 in process of being cut up.

  4. What a rainbow of colors. GEXR 3856 had just recently arrived from GEXR the month prior.

  5. CN 7068 is still on the roster:
