As is typically the case, the best trains come by in the worst weather. After catching this guy from the truck window at Victoria Road crossing on the Galt sub in the pouring rain, and seeing the four SD40-2 and Sd40-3's, the race was on to get a side shot instead of the nose shot I had. So here is CP 254 led by CP 9639 and CP 8772 with SD40-3, KLWX 6092 and KLWX 6211, and SD40-2 KLWX 5727 and KLWX 5749 headed under the Highway six bridge on its way to Desjardins.

  1. Very nice Bill, you did better than I did for light! It was pouring rain by the time he got to me at Grassie!

  2. It was coming down in sheets as I stood in the field at the 8th concession and was ONLY spitting on me here.

  3. Was that you in that little black jalopy at Grassie, Jazzy? I had an app’t (as usual when something good is happening)and it was totally miserable weather around when the train got his clearance to Welland.

  4. Great shot Bill—did you chase this train to Kinnear Yard in Hamilton

  5. Haha that was me Arnold. I staked out a spot and waited him out. My shot was no hell: https://www.flickr.com/photos/93850525@N02/33687642542/in/dateposted-public/

  6. Not this time Cnnutbar. I was wet enough and decided to head back home and was lucky enough to catch 147. And it was also in the rain.

  7. Jazzie Joe. When it’s raining out, a good consist goes is enroute – and AWM shows up…do not approach. I’m telling ya, he has this look on his face….sort of like a cat with a hissing sound.
