Back in 1987 VIA had 5 departures each way between Windsor and Toronto. There were 3 morning trains, one at mid-afternoon and finally one a 1800. Number 70 had already left the station at 0600. Next out would be CN 9175, with VIA helpers 6767 and 6553 with train 72 at 0900. The final morning departure at 1105 will see VIA 6765 in charge of train 74. Today there are 4 trains each way.

    Interesting. Would 9175 be a leased freight unit?

    I can remember 9175 leading an afternoon passenger thru Bayview; makes me think it must have been on standby for a power short VIA.
