A CN C44-9W and SD75I on a freight pass by the recently burnt Strathroy Station at Mile 20 CN Strathroy Sub.

The 117-year old structure was built by the Grand Trunk Railway in 1887, but out of use for years before the fire that doomed it. Three local 12-year old boys were later charged with arson.

  1. Ha, the chimmney is still standing.

    Nice picture.

  2. Another example of why historic buildings should be better preserved. Nothing but an ugly VIA shelter and a big open area today.

Great shot Bill. The engines add to the scene.

  3. What a sorry sorry sight.
