A Zalev Brothers Scrap Co. - a division of Ferrous Processing & Trading - GE 44 tonner is seen here with a handful of gondolas being loaded by a large magnet attached to an excavator. A very neat process to watch this autumn afternoon. This place has been here for ever, expanding over time into what was once part of the MC/NYC Windsor Yard, they are the last remaining customer left on CN's CASO Sub. Part of the former Windsor Yard complex is still in use today as CN's Van de Water Yard.

  1. VERY interesting, Myles. And aperfect shot.

  2. Thanks! Unfortunately since this image was taken this loco has been sidelined with another as they now use a trackmobile to push cars around.

  3. Myles Roach, this loco was sold to Port Stanley Terminal Rail in 2016 and is now under restoration.
