In the siding at Crysdale, "VO" symbol freight, white flags & white classification lights "run extra" waiting on a meet with south bound train. It was a drab afternoon and we were anxious to leave for our final destination Prince George.

  1. Sounds like a “special” place. On CN, I spent 6 weeks in the Nechako Motel on !st Ave across from the yard…pure magic :)

  2. Well, Prince George was our “away terminal” and the sooner we get there, the sooner I can have some sleep and then sooner be on my way south and home. At the time we had a reasonable bunkhouse to stay in, later on it was closed and we stayed at the GoldCrap Motel downtown Prince George. Lovely place to sleep, a busy roadway on two sides, the main fire hall down the street and the RCMP main office around the corner. Lots of noise and sirens.

  3. A wonderful classic image, and you’re the first person I’ve heard say they were in a rush to get to Prince George :) . Then again, it was heaven compared to Edson!!
